Donate a Boat — Old, Sailboat, Pontoon, Fishing
The short version: Old boats are storage and slip-fee nightmares. We accept all boat types — sailboats (any size), pontoons, fishing boats, ski boats, jet skis, with or without trailer. Pickup coordinated land-side or dock-side depending on the situation.
Why boats are good donation candidates
Boats depreciate hard, cost real money to store ($100-400/month at most marinas), require insurance, and need annual maintenance to stay seaworthy. When the owner stops using it, the boat becomes a liability.
Donation converts that liability to a tax deduction. We've taken everything from a 14-ft aluminum fishing boat (sold for $400) to a 32-ft sailboat (sold for $8,500).
Pickup logistics
- On a trailer at your home: standard wrecker with hitch
- At a dock or marina: we coordinate with the marina for haul-out + truck loading
- On land at a storage facility: standard wrecker (small boats) or marine transport (larger)
- Sailboat with mast stepped (up): we work with you to un-step if needed before tow
Trailer included? Great — both go together. Trailer separate? Also fine, we tow them separately.
