Donate a Flood-Damaged Car
Why flood-damaged cars are hard to sell
Flooding causes corrosion that emerges months or years later — electrical failures, mold, drivetrain damage. Private buyers know this and avoid flood-damaged vehicles. Even with disclosure, you'll get lowball offers far below the salvage-auction value.
Insurance companies often declare flood-damaged vehicles total losses. If you kept ownership (declined the settlement, or your policy didn't cover flood), donation is the cleanest path.
Salvage-title and 'flood' branded titles
If your title is branded 'salvage' or 'flood', we accept the donation. Many states require this branding when a vehicle's been declared a total loss for flooding. The branding doesn't prevent donation — it just means the auction sale price will be lower than a clean-title vehicle.
If the title is still clean but you suspect flooding, disclose it to us. Buyers at salvage auction expect honest condition reports.
Hurricane-area pickups
We coordinate pickups in hurricane-impacted areas after disasters (Florida, Louisiana, Texas Gulf coast, NC/SC after hurricanes). Towing access can be limited immediately after a storm; we schedule for the first available date.
If the vehicle is partially submerged, blocked by debris, or in an unsafe location, we work with you and the towing partner to find a safe pickup time.
