Donate Your
BMW

BMW donations are usually 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, X5, or older 7 Series. Maintenance costs on aging BMWs push owners toward donation — a 10-year-old 5 Series with $3,000 of needed work often goes to donation rather than repair.

BMW models we accept

All BMW models: 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, 1 Series, 2 Series, 4 Series, 6 Series, 8 Series, i3, i8, Z3, Z4, M variants. Any year, any condition, running or not.

Why donors choose us for BMW donations

Common donation reasons: expensive repair quotes that exceed used-car value; high-mile leases that owners didn't buy out; estate vehicles; failed emissions / DPF issues on older diesels.

Cars Helping Kids accepts BMW vehicles regardless of model, year, mileage, or mechanical condition. Free flatbed pickup means the vehicle doesn't need to start or be drivable. We handle title transfer paperwork.

BMW donation process

1. Submit our 60-second form or call 770-871-9422 with the vehicle year/make/model + your contact info.

2. A real person from Cars Helping Kids calls you within 1 business day to confirm address and schedule pickup.

3. Tow driver arrives at the agreed time. You sign the back of the title; they take the vehicle. Free.

4. After the vehicle sells at auction, we email you IRS Form 1098-C showing the actual sale price (= your tax deduction).

Tax deduction for your BMW

Your federal tax deduction equals the gross sale price of the vehicle when we sell it at auction. Cars Helping Kids is a Georgia 501(c)(3) (program of Fainting Goat Foundation); donations qualify for the charitable contribution deduction if you itemize on your federal return.

Use the tax calculator on the homepage to estimate your deduction based on the vehicle's age and condition.

Frequently asked questions

Can I donate a Bmw?
Yes. Cars Helping Kids accepts Bmw donations of any year, model, and condition. Free pickup nationwide, IRS Form 1098-C tax receipt, donations fund children's services in the North Georgia region.
How much can I deduct for donating a Bmw?
Your federal tax deduction equals the actual auction sale price of your Bmw on IRS Form 1098-C box 4c. Bmws generally have steady auction demand; the $500 safe-harbor rule applies if your vehicle sells for $500 or less.
What if my Bmw isn't running?
Non-running Bmws are accepted. The towing partner brings a flatbed. Most Bmws with mechanical issues sell at salvage auction; the donation is still tax-deductible at the sale price.
