Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
A 17-character unique identifier for every modern vehicle.
What it means
The VIN identifies make, model, year, plant, and other production details. The charity needs your VIN to process the donation, look up title status, and prepare paperwork. You can find the VIN on the dashboard at the base of the windshield, on the driver's-side door jamb sticker, on insurance documents, or on the title itself.
