Title Transfer
The legal handover of ownership from donor to charity, typically at vehicle pickup.
What it means
Title transfer is the moment you legally cease to own the vehicle. For most donations, you sign the back of the title in the seller/transferor section, and the towing partner accepts it on behalf of the charity. Some states require additional paperwork (Power of Attorney form, odometer disclosure); the charity will guide you.
