Salvage Auction
Auctions specializing in totaled, branded-title, and non-running vehicles.
What it means
Salvage auctions (Copart, IAA, Insurance Auto Auctions) handle damaged and branded-title vehicles. Buyers are often recyclers, rebuilders, or international exporters. Sale prices are lower than retail auctions, but the donation tax-deductibility process is identical.
